1. Teaching Enterprise Project ( TEP )

The highlight of every student’s life in NYP would perhaps be TEP. It is an integral part of training at Marketing In NYP as a cornerstone teaching pedagogy for students.
 The concept involves simulating authentic industry environment and facilities within the campus, so that students are trained on the latest equipment and follow actual industry practices. They have the opportunity to work on industry-commissioned projects, supervised by staff with extensive industry experience. Business students are scheduled to operate real business centres set up in the campus by the School of Business Management .
Business centres includes  Customer Relationship Management Call Centre (CRMCC), International Business Resource Centre (IBRC), Marketing Services Centre (MSC) and Business Services Unit (BSU), ELDC etc. These businesses provide a platform for actual hands-on training for our students.



About CRMCC

Customer Relationship Management Call Centre (CRMCC) is one of the Business Centres operating under the Centre for Business Innovation (CBI) umbrella, a key business and training arm of the School of Business Management at Nanyang Polytechnic. A modern ‘Teaching Enterprise’ environment is stimulated in school, which it is in tune with the development of the real business
world and provides opportunities for students to work in a whole different business environment.
Our state-of-the-art call centre is run and managed by our team of experienced call centre professionals and lecturers. It provides our students with the opportunities to work in a real business environment and handle hi-technology telecommunication gadgets. Moreover, students will gain valuable customer relationship management and communication skills, which is essential when they enter the working world.
International Business Resource Centre (IBRC)

Objectives
  • To support NYP’s international focus by providing current and relevant economic and business resources.
  • To meet the needs of NYP by conducting business research on relevant issues.
  • To establish and maintain a strong link with industry through its client commissioned research, seminar series and corporate membership.
Marketing Services Centre (MSC)

Marketing Service Centre is also known as the "Shopping Arcade" is a place which consists 7 different retail outlets. These retail outlets are fully operated by the students!
MSC operates in shift-work, where students will need to fulfill 4.5hrs of work per day, 5days per week. It has undergone a huge revamp and is like a mini-shopping mall with stores such as Cheers, Challenger, Giodarno and The Face Shop etc.



About BSC
BSC is a strategic business centre within CBI that provides consultancy, business and support services. 

It is a Teaching Enterprise stopover in the School of Business Management. 

It has 3 basic training components for value creation for its students while providing valuable business support services to the industry at large.

Even Management Road Show (EMRS)



 What we do do in this event is all about planning event and execute the event. Roadshow!!!! In this Stopover, we learn to make cold call, look for supplier and work with them. Meet up supplier tell them about out proposal and allow them to come to NYP and carry out an event together!!!
Before the Event, we would learn many other things such as planning of logistics, A&P and many other things. Ensure that before the event start, everything is well organise and well prepare. Not forgetting, manpower!! Without them, the event would not be able to carry out!!!



About ELDC
Set up as a strategic Business Unit under its Centre for Business Innovation (CBI).

Currently developing fully online courses for industry & public in areas such as retail management, personal financial projects for industry (e.g. Tangs)

2. We Go Global!

NYP offers Overseas Exchange Program(OSEP), Oversea Industrail Placement Program( OIPP), Overseas Immersion Program to allow students to benefit immensely from from the exposure to different cultural experiences and business prqactises abroad.
Under OSEP, students can look forward to semester exchanges at one of the 16 partner Universities spread across Europe( Austria, France, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Switerzerland); USA (Virginia) and Asia (Japan and Korea)




3. Industrial Placement Project

 


Students in their final year will undergo a 10-week attachment to a business organization. The main objective of the Industrial Placement Programme(IPP) is to help ensure our students are exposed to the real working world and to prepare them for ready absorption into the workforce after graduation. This IPP exposure will also provide them the practical work exposure and enable them to acquire the required skills to contribute effectively to the business and commerce section of our economy.
